Monitor ADF in Power BI

In this series of posts you will find detailed steps on how to show the logs of Azure Data Factory in a Power BI Dashboard. This is done via the Azure Log Analytics workspace and the Kusto Query Language. This solution doesn't only work for ADF, but for a lot of other Azure services and even for the logs of the Power Platform. So it allows you to create user friendly dashboards for your entire data platform.

All our ADF Power BI posts:

The first introduction post shows you how to setup Azure Data Factory to push the logs to the Azure Log Analytics workspace. It also shows how to add the standard ADF dashboard in this workspace.
This post show you how to create your own KQL queries in the Azure Log Analytics workspace on the Azure Data Factory logs. We compair the KQL queries to TSQL because most users of the Data Platform already know SQL. Good to know is that KQL also works within Azure Data Explorer.
The last post in this series show you how to use those KQL queries in a Power BI Dashboard. This is done with a by Log Analytics generated Power Query that you can copy and paste to Power BI desktop.
